Chapman House Tour

As a co-owner of CaseCo, a successful, high-end residential builder, Sam Chapman understands quality and the importance of selecting the right trade partners for any project.

When it came time to build his family home in Loudoun County there was only one option for sourcing hardwood flooring, Cochran’s Lumber. “I wouldn’t go anywhere else for hardwoods,” says homeowner and contractor Sam Chapman. “The Cochran’s team understood what was most important to us and made sure that the finished product aligned with our vision. It was a great experience working with Ben and his team.

Flooring for Farmhouse Design

Sam and Kathleen envisioned a traditional farmhouse, with architectural details that will stand the test of time. Their decision to use 8” Live Sawn White Oak throughout the home was guided by the color and finish.

“We were intentional to use building materials like stacked stone, reclaimed beams, and the flooring from Cochran’s to create character. We love old homes. It was important to us that our new home still has features and traits that you would only expect to see in an older home. It’s hard to overlook an 8” wide hardwood from Cochran’s; you feel it the second you walk in the door.”

Hand Crafted Durable Flooring

Built to withstand the wear and tear of their young family, the property beautifully reflects their family’s casual, yet traditional style. Kathleen worked to create welcoming living spaces with a modern-traditional vibe that mixes old and new.

Chippy cabinets, chunky textures, and lots of natural light complement the clean lines of the architecture and the warmth of their hardwood floors. Thoughtfully selected finishes, bright and airy rooms, and exceptional craftsmanship ensure this home will be a welcoming space for many years to come.
